Library Investment Index |
| The Association of Research Libraries annually calculates an index for the university library members of ARL. The Library Investment Index is a summary measure of relative size among the university members of the association. The expenditure index takes into account total library expenditures, salaries of professional staff, spending on library materials, and the number of professional and support staff. It does not attempt to measure a library’s services, quality of collections, or success in meeting the needs of users. |
The variables used in the Index are:
- Total Library Expenditures
- Salary Expenditures for Professional Staff
- Total Library Materials Expenditures
- Number of Professional and Support Staff
|

- 66nd among all 113 ARL libraries
