Record high number of African-American faculty (includes library faculty): 84, including record number of 11 new African-American faculty
Record high number and percent of women in Executive/Administrative/Managerial positions: 234, or 48.4 percent
Record high research expenditures reported to NSF: $337 million (for FY 2008)

2009-2010

First time retention rate is above 80% two years in a row.
