  • The highest percentage of degrees awarded to women has been at the master's level, while the lowest percentage was conferred at the doctoral level.

  • Since 1992, the greatest relative increase of degrees awarded to women has taken place at the First Professional level.

  • In 2001, the female students earned the highest percentages of degrees in the Colleges of Nursing (88%), Human Environmental Science (85%) and Social Work (82%), while the lowest percentage in the College of Engineering (14%)

  • From 1992 to 2001, the relative number of degrees awarded to women has risen the most in the Colleges of Agriculture from 31% to 46%, Pharmacy from 57% to 66%, Medical Center Graduate School from 57% to 66%, Architecture from 24% to 32%, and Arts and Sciences from 49% to 57%.

  • Over the past ten years, the relative number of degrees awarded to women declined the most in the Colleges of Allied Health from 81% to 73%, Nursing from 96% to 88%, Education from 78% to 72%, and Human Environmental Sciences from 89% to 85%.
