Degrees Awarded by Sector and Gender
The highest percentage of degrees awarded to women has been at the master's level, while the lowest percentage was conferred at the doctoral level.
Since 1992, the greatest relative increase of degrees awarded to women has taken place at the First Professional level.
In 2001, the female students earned the highest percentages of degrees in the Colleges of Nursing (88%), Human Environmental Science (85%) and Social Work (82%), while the lowest percentage in the College of Engineering (14%)
Over the past ten years, the relative number of degrees awarded to women declined the most in the Colleges of Allied Health from 81% to 73%, Nursing from 96% to 88%, Education from 78% to 72%, and Human Environmental Sciences from 89% to 85%.
