at the Master's level, while the lowest percentage has
been conferred at the Doctoral level.
- Since
1994, the greatest relative increase in degrees awarded
to women has taken place at the Doctoral level.
- In
2003, the the highest percentages of degrees earned by
female students were in the colleges of Human Environmental
Sciences (90%), Nursing (88%) and Social Work (86%), while
the lowest percentage was in the College of Engineering
(16%)
- From
1994 to 2003, the relative number of degrees awarded to
women has risen the most in the College of Design, from
25% to 54%, and in the College of Medicine, from 32% to
50%.
- Over
the past ten years, the relative number of degrees awarded
to women has declined the most in the College of Dentistry
from 55% to 38%.
