Degrees Awarded by Sector and Residency

  • At the Bachelor's level, the number of degrees awarded to out-of-state residents steadily increased from 1992 to 1998, and has decreased in each of the past three years.

  • Out-of-state students earned the largest share of degrees at the Doctoral level (66%), and the lowest percentage at the First Professional level (10%).

  • The highest percentage of out-of-state students earning degrees in 2001 are in the Graduate Schools of the Provost Area and Medical Center, and the Colleges of Engineering, Arts and Sciences, Architecture, while the lowest percentage of out-of-state students earning degrees are in Law, Allied Health, and Medicine.
