Student Credit Hours

The following pages document Student Credit Hours production at the University over the past ten years. Student Credit Hours are disaggregated by college and course prefix for each semester of the Academic Year.

A credit hour is a unit of measurement representing an hour (50 minutes) of instruction over a 15-week period in a semester. It is applied toward the total number of hours needed for completing the requirements of a degree, diploma, certificate, or other formal award.

Credit hour activity is computed by multiplying the number of course credit hours by the number of students enrolled in the course. For example, the credit hour activity for a 3-credit course with an enrollment of 30 students is 90 credit hours.
