Award Letters: Changes and testing were
completed for packaging and awarding Law students. Changes continue to finish the award letter process for all
remaining students. COD phase III
testing is in progress. Several iterations of receiving, processing, and
sending COD XML files have been completed.
COD conference calls continue.
A new directory (webuktest.uky.edu)
has been set up for the 2.3 web server installation. The 2.3 web server
installation and 2.3 mainframe installation is complete in the test area.
Changes for set-up, UK graphics, and UK modifications are in progress. Work with the 7 new functions that come with
this upgrade are in progress. Financial
Aid elected to ‘go live’ with the 2.3 release so that they could concentrate on
award letter processing.
The 2.1 release has just marked 2
months in production, averaging 3100 hits per day for that period. Weekly and monthly webUK statistics are now
available at http://www.uky.edu/IS/AdminApps/SIS/Admin/WebUKstats.htm
The web application for undergraduate
admission is being moved from the iweb machine to the wwte machine. Iweb shares several applications and this
move will allow us more access for testing and debugging production
problems. Once the move is complete we
will begin testing the batch printing of applications and replicating the
admissions application for LCC.
Work is in progress to produce flat
files for loading the DARwin database.
We will load student demographics and student courses, as well as the
course articulations that are already built in SIS. The registrar’s office will build degree programs and
requirements manually via the DARwin client.
We requested some test flat files from the other pilot schools via the
project listserv. Only Murray State
responded but they have yet to send us a file.
The next CAS meeting at CPE is April 25th.
Miscellaneous
An upgrade to the job scheduler was
migrated to production by the systems group. We are working with the individual
SIS offices to assist in the proper use of the new features and processes
available now.
Three members of our group attended
the SQL Server administration course April 10-11 at the Young Library.
Began attending meetings on campus to
address the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) project. Also working with SCT to define SEVIS
requirements for the existing SIS system.
