    Now for the cool stuff.

    Once you’re familiar with your voice mail prompts, you can override them by using a few cool Voicemail Short Cuts.

           For fast access…

    • Dial 257-4869, # #, and your security code. This works only on the line the VMX is on.

           To send a quick message to one person….

    • Dial 257-4869 + *, and dial the mailbox number (the last five digits of the phone number).

           To by-pass the greeting…

    • Press *

           To get time and date information…

    • Press  8  while listening to the message.

           To exit, you have lots of options….

    • Press  9  to exit and one of the following:
    • 9  to exit system, then hang-up.
    • 0  will allow you to dial another extension.
    • *  cancels exit and returns you to ready.

    Your Listening Options

           You DO NOT have to listen to the entire message.

    • 3  will erase the message, or
    • 7  will save the message; then
    • 5  to go to the next message.

          While listening, you can press:

    • 1  4  to immediately call the person who left the message.
    • 1  7  to reply and leave a message.
    • 1  5  to listen to the previous message.
    • 2  to backup a few seconds.
    • 2  2  to backup to the beginning of your message.
    • 1  9  2  to listen to your saved messages.
    • 1  3  to forward the message to another mailbox with a cover comment.

    Recording a New Greeting

           To setup:

    • Press  4
    • Press  6
    • Press # when finished.

           To listen to your new recording:

    • Press  4
    • Press  5
