Tuition And Fees
Effective August 26, 2009, tuition for Independent Study courses is $322.50 per credit hour. There is a processing charge of $10 per course.
The formula for calculating the cost of a course follows: Tuition for a three credit hour course is $967.50 (3 x $322.50). Add a processing fee of $10 and you will pay a total of $977.50 for tuition and fees for that course.

Refunds
All requests for tuition refunds must be made in writing. (Other fees paid are non-refundable.)

In addition, a $5 fee is deducted from refunds for each assignment graded. Please allow four to six weeks for processing refunds.
Transfers
If more than 12 weeks remain in a student's initial enrollment period, he or she may transfer to another course by contacting the Independent Study Program Office. A charge of $25 is assessed for the transfer plus a service fee of $5 for each assignment graded for the initial course.
Enrollment Extensions
The 12-month enrollment period for Independent Study courses may be extended for an additional four months upon written request and the payment of a $50 extension fee. The request and payment must be received in the Independent Study Program Office prior to the last day of the 12-month enrollment. Failure to apply for the extension before the expiration date will necessitate re-enrollment and full payment of all tuition and fees.
