How to Create Account

Follow the steps below to create your account.

1. Professor(s) of the student must notify sysadm@cslab.uky.edu of students in course that require CSLAB access.
2. Student should log into the Account Management System (https://ukam.uky.edu). And select Manage other Student Accounts in order to request an account. The account will be available to be requested.

Rules for Passwords

Passwords created for this account must follow these rules:

• Must have a minimum of 6 characters.
• Must contain at least one alphabetic character.
• Must containt at least one numeric character.
• Must be different from the userid.
• Password expires every 6 months.

How to Change Your Password

Follow the instructions below to change your current password. If you have forgotten your password, you will need to have it reset.

1. Click on the folder called "Lab Apps" in your dock. The dock is the row of icons at the bottom of your screen.
2. Double-click on the Blue Apple icon labeled "Change SL Mac Password."
3. Click the "Change Password..." button.
4. Enter the following:
   
   • Old Password: your current password
   • New Password: your new password
   • Verify: your new password again
5. When you are done, click the "Change Password" button. You will see a message that "Your keychain password will be changed to your new account password."
6. Click OK.

Note: You do not need to click the padlock in the lower left corner of the window or enter administrative information to change your password!
