Who We Are

Telephone Operations is the UK Information Technology department that provides continuous, personal, 24/7 directory assistance, answering and client paging services for the University of Kentucky, as well as for individuals wishing to connect to the University main campus or medical center.

Telephone Operations is an integral component of the Information Technology Customer Service Center. And, that means we have a personal and professional commitment to meeting each customer request with courtesy, respect, and efficient responsiveness.

Our Team
Our team is comprised of a manager, three shift supervisors, and 25 operators.

Our Service Record
Calling our area is your gateway to all of the University of Kentucky and UK Chandler Medical Center staff, faculty, students and services.

We provide information and switchboard services, campus and medical center answering services, and Medical Center physician paging and alert paging.

Telephone Operations often takes up to 200 calls an hour and more than 102,000 calls per month. On a yearly basis, we are approaching 1.3-million calls. So, we stay busy.

But, each call is as important to us as it is to you, our customer.
