Philosophy, Priorities, and Implementation

To meet the computing and communications needs of the University of Kentucky as we enter the 21st Century, the Information Systems Sector will be guided by the principles and objectives presented in this statement of philosophy and objectives. Specifically, Information Systems will strive to achieve a standards-compliant, open systems environment that provides the best possible hardware, applications, and support for all segments of the University community, within the resources available. Information systems will remain responsive to the needs of users by continuing to encourage and rely upon its various advisory and user groups.
