OIA Scholarships for Fall 2009
Applications are now being accepted for two Office of International Affairs scholarships through Friday, March 6. Both awards are for the Fall 2009 semester. The UK International Student Scholarship is presented to international undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate strong academic scholarship and financial need. Approximately 20 $1,000 scholarships are awarded each semester.
The Viji Jeganathan Scholarship for Cross-Cultural Understanding is an endowed scholarship in memory of an outstanding international student who died of leukemia while studying at UK. The $1,000 award is presented to an individual who demonstrates leadership and ability in bridging cultural differences and who promotes communication among students of diverse nationalities at UK or in the Lexington community.
