I. OIA to Close for the Holidays
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) will be closed Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, January 2. Students who may need assistance prior to Monday, January 5 are advised to contact OIA as soon as possible.
II. Semester Break Parking and Transportation
As a result of the reduction in campus population during the semester break, many student parking areas are not controlled for permits and transit operations are modified. In general, all residential lots and all single-use commuter lots will not be controlled from Saturday, December 20 through Sunday, January 11. All lots will resume normal control on Monday, January 12, except the K portions of Commonwealth Stadium, which will resume control on Wednesday, January 21. However, all parking meters will remain on control during the semester break.
CATS and LexTran campus bus service will not operate between semesters. For the 2008-09 semester break, Parking and Transportation Services will run one CATS bus on the Summer/Break Route on days when the University is open but classes are not in session. The on-demand night bus will resume service on Sunday, January 11, with one bus to accommodate students returning to campus. All CATS service and the LexTran Stadium Route service will resume on Wednesday, January 14.
