Reminders
- All currently enrolled University of Kentucky students who plan to attend the summer and/or fall 2009 terms must register March 30 - April 21. Students should priority register online using myUK. Click here for more information.
- The Office of Student Involvement is offering the Emerging Leader Institute (ELI) for the Fall 2009 semester. Applications are available at http://www.uky.edu/GetInvolved/Leadership/ELI/apply.html. They are due at noon on Wednesday, March 25.
- Anyone who has not received an e-mail from OIA in recent weeks with their CINTAX tax assistance password information should check all of their e-mail accounts, including “spam” or “junk” folders. If you still cannot locate the information, contact livingstone@uky.edu.
I. UK Cultural Diversity Festival: Habitat for Humanity Project and 1Campus! Workshop
March is Cultural Diversity Festival month at UK. Some upcoming events include:
Saturday, March 21
Habitat for Humanity Fayette County Spring Break Project, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Students who are on campus should consider volunteering for this local Habitat for Humanity project. No prior experience is necessary. Space is limited to 20 participants. To volunteer or learn more, e-mail debra.ross@uky.edu.

Christian-Muslim Dialogue: A Common Word, 7 p.m., William T. Young Library Auditorium
Tuesday, March 24
Cranes for Peace Origami Workshop, 3:30 p.m., Lexington Public Library (Northside Branch)
Wednesday, March 25
1Campus! Workshop and Lecture with Alvin Herring These sessions explore the meaning of diversity and the power of community. The workshop is 1-5 p.m. in the small ballroom at the Student Center. Participants must e-mail sindhu1991@uky.edu to register by Monday, March 23. The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the Worsham Theater and open to all.

II. Spring Session II ESL Courses
The Office of International Affairs and the Center for English as a Second Language at the University of Kentucky are pleased to announce the ESL offerings for Spring Session II. The traditional semi-intensive ESL program and specialty classes will be offered, as well as the new Professional Presentation class. Click here for more information.
III. Food and Futbol at the Salvation Army
The Lexington Salvation Army invites all international students to an evening with food from around the world and indoor soccer on Saturday, March 21, 7-9 p.m. at 736 West Main Street. For more information or transportation, contact Nathan Miller at nmiller@salvationarmy-lex.org.
