- The International Student Council (ISC) invites all students and their friends to watch “Slumdog Millionaire” tonight at 6:30 p.m. in room 115 of the UK College of Nursing building.
I. Welcome New International Students
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) extends a warm welcome to all the new international students who are enrolling at UK this semester. If you are a new student, visit the OIA Web site for a complete list of Welcome Week activities for undergraduate and graduate students. If you are a returning student, help a new students adjust to Lexington by showing them around campus, sharing stories of what your first few days were like and encouraging them to join this listserv. OIA looks forward to supporting all of our international students throughout the new academic year.
II. Indian Independence Day Celebration
The Indian Student Association (ISA) will celebrate Indian Independence Day on Saturday, August 15. Students, their families and friends are invited to mark the occasion. Join ISA in the courtyard next to Bradley Hall at 9 a.m., not 9:30 a.m. as was reported last week. For more information, visit http://www.uky.edu/StudentOrgs/ISA/home.php.
