F-1 Status
The University of Kentucky has appointed Designation School Officials (DSO) to advise and assist students with visa status issues. When questions arise regarding the F visa regulation, students' initial and primary contact should be with F-1 Student Advisor William Arnold or F-1 Student Advisor Emily King in the UK Office of International Affairs.
OIA communicates regularly with students in two important ways:
- International students at UK are required to sign up for the OIA student listserv.
- In addition, students must keep their e-mail addresses updated in myUK to stay informed of changes in immigration laws and/or other important news that governs their stay in the US.
