Transferring: F-1 Students
Transferring to UK from Another School
Notify the DSO (Designated School Official) in your current school of your intention to transfer to the University of Kentucky. A "release date" will be discussed and established. This is the date on which the transfer to UK will be made effective in SEVIS. The UK Admissions Officer cannot issue your I-20 until this date.
Your school will retain control over your student records in SEVIS until the release date is reached. At your request, the DSO may cancel the transfer request at any time prior to the release date; however, a transfer cannot be cancelled after the release date has been reached.
Report to the Office of International Affairs at the time and place indicated in the "Dates & Deadlines" section of this Web site.
