At the University of Kentucky, immunizations are recommended and health insurance is mandatory.

International undergraduate and graduate students are automatically enrolled in the university's Student Health Insurance Plan. Those who already have coverage meeting UK's requirements may be eligible for a waiver.

ESL students, visiting scholars and their dependents must show proof of insurance meeting the UK requirements or purchase a plan with equivalent coverage, such as the one offered by the university. More information is available at the following links:
