Check-In & Orientation
New international students must attend check with the Office of International Affairs before registering for classes.
In addition, an International Student Orientation will cover topics vital to your stay in the U.S., including immigration information, personal safety issues, legal matters and cultural adjustment issues.
Undergraduate students will have the opportunity to discuss academic concerns and expectations, as well as meet with an Academic Advisor to select their courses at the Advising Conference. Some important dates can be found in the Dates & Deadlines section.
Graduate students will be introduced to the policies and procedures of the Graduate School, and they will meet with the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) in their department before registering for classes. Visit the Dates & Deadlines section for an orientation schedule. Refer to departmental information for specific dates.
