Acting Water Resources Section Head Bart Davidson has been officially appointed by Gov. Steve Beshear to the Kentucky Water Well Driller's Certification Board, to complete the unexpired term of retired Section Head Jim Dinger. Davidson, a hydrogeologist, works with GIS applications for water data and manages the Kentucky Groundwater Data Repository, among other duties. He has been with KGS since January 1985. Bart has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Berea College and a master's degree in geology from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky.
The term on the Well Driller's Board is effective until mid-August, 2013. The Kentucky Revised Statues provide the state with authority to certify well drillers, including requirement for examination, application, and disciplinary action.
