Coal-Quality Data

KGS has over 3,000 coal analyses for eastern and western Kentucky. Analyses were performed in the laboratories of KGS, the U.S. Geological Survey, or the UK Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER), and may include proximate, ultimate, and trace-element analyses. The U.S. Geological Survey also has an online coal-quality database called COALQUAL.

The coal quality database is searchable on the KGS Web site.
