Class notes
Unfortunately two slightly different sets of notes were distributed to Kinkos and Johnny Print for the spring semester class. I want to stress that there are few substantial differences in the notes. Most of the differences had to do with enlarging text so it would be more readable, which had the impact of turning 1 slide into 2 slides between the different sets of notes, or deleting a graphic slide that was difficult to read in one set of the notes that is still in the other. I will undoubtedly add and skip over more slides during the lectures this semester than are different in the two sets of notes. So again, don’t worry. There is also a different order to the notes concerning Jurassic through Cretaceous marine and flying reptiles. I apologize for that confusion and will point it out when we get to those lectures. The following table shows the equivalent sections in the two sets of notes, with comments for each. This should not be a significant concern. Where there are any substantial differences, I’ll make pdfs of those pages and put them on this page during the semester, and you can add them or not to your notes. Again the notes are just a guide to help save you some writing, don’t use them as a substitute for attending class.

Notes correlations Jp=Johnny Print, Ki=Kinkos . Letters (eg., A1-A6, etc. are sections in the notes)
Jp: A1-A6 = Ki: A1-A10. No substantial differences. A few more explanation slides, I skipped over some of these in lecture
Click here for pdfs of pages a9, a10 from Kinkos notes.
Jp::B1-B6 = Ki: B1-B12. I skipped over a series of slides from the end of the lecture concerning expanded explanation of fossil successions and geologic time on a geologic calendar, which were in one set of the notes. They are provided here if you want to see the difference.
Click here for pdfs of pages b7, b8, b9, b10, b11, b12 pages from Kinkos notes.
Section c through h are mostly the same between the two sets of notes.
Jp: I1-I5 = Ki: I1-I5
Click here for pdfs of pages i1 and i4 pages from Kinkos notes, defining a reptile and showing different teeth.
Sections J through P are mostly the same between the two sets of notes.
The following 3 sections on Polar dinosaurs, marine and flying reptiles have different orders in the two sets of notes. Section Q in the Kinkos set was split into two sections in the Johnny Print set, so that from this point in the notes equivalent sections are off a letter.
Jp: Q1-Q2 = Ki: Q3-Q4
Jp: R1-R4 = Ki: R1-R2. No substantial differences, expanded a couple of slides.
Jp: S1-S2 = Ki: Q1-Q2
Continued sections in same order, but off a letter
Jp: T1-T6 = Ki: S1-S4. No substantial differences, expanded a couple of slides.
Jp: U1-U8 = Ki: T1-T9. No substantial differences, expanded a couple of slides.
Jp: V1-V5 = Ki: U1-U5
Sections past these will be added later and where appropriate, I’ll put pdfs of the differences here
