NOTE: KGS no longer retains physical copies of USGS topo maps for sale or distribution. We can print topographic maps as print-on-demand via our pubs catalog. You can also order physical copies through the USGS via this link. Use the links below for digital resources:

• USGS TopoView: Find, view, and download topographic maps (any available scale)
  USGS-hosted website for finding and downloading USGS current and historic topographic maps across the United States including Kentucky. More info.
• National Geographic PDF TOPO! Quads
  National Geographic is allowing everyone to easily download any USGS 7.5 minute topo map in the continental U.S. as a multi-page PDF that can be printed on letter size paper on any printer. These are the same topographic maps that were published by the U.S. Geological Survey for decades, with nice additional features from our much-loved, but discontinued TOPO! software product. Go here if you previously used the TOPO! program via KGS.

Imagery and Elevation Data

The best and most up-to-date resource for KY imagery and elevation data is KyFromAbove (https://kyfromabove.ky.gov/) maintained by the KY Division of Geographic Information. While KGS is a major user and supporter of the KyFromAbove program and data, we do not maintain this data. The following links are all web services maintained by KyFromAbove (check their website for a complete list of their services):
