Free base map and well data may be downloaded from the Web
at www.uky.edu/KGS/gis/kgs_gis.html. These data are provided as
ArcView shape
files that may be imported into several GIS programs. These data
can be viewed with ArcExplorer, a free viewer that can be downloaded
from www.esri.com. Data available include more than 109,000 oil
and gas well locations. The KGSampler CD-ROM with these locations
and other examples of electronic data available at the Survey
is free upon request to the Kentucky Geological Survey Publication
Sales office at (859) 257-5500.

Data in this report are designed to accompany KGS Map and Chart Series 1 (Ser. 12), "Cambrian and Deeper Tests of Kentucky" (1:1,000,000 scale). Stratigraphic data are not available for all wells listed.
