Jackson County, Kentucky

Jackson county is located in southeastern Kentucky. It was established in 1858 from parts of Clay, Estill, Laurel, Madison, Owsley, and Rockcastle counties and named for President Andrew Jackson. It has an area of 346 square miles. The county seat is McKee.
