Woodford County, Kentucky

Woodford county is located in the central Bluegrass region of Kentucky. It was the ninth and last of the Kentucky counties formed by Virginia, in 1788. It was named in honor of General William Woodford, a Revolutionary War officer. The county seat is Versailles. The county population in 2010 was 24,939.
