Lewisburg is a Mason county community about seven miles south of Maysville on KY 11 at the North Fork of the Licking River. It was settled beginning about 1789 at what may have been the site of George Clark's 1787 station. The town was organized in 1795. The post office, which opened in 1828, was known as North Fork. It has since closed.
