Radcliff, Kentucky

Radcliff is a Hardin county town on the southwest edge of Fort Knox, north of Elizabethtown. It was established about 1919 and is said to be named for a Major Radcliffe from what was then Camp Knox. (The name of the town was originally spelled with the final e.) The Radcliff post office opened in 1962. The population in 1990 was 19,772.
