Smiths Grove is a northeastern Warren county town on I-65 and KY 101. It was settled early in the nineteenth century. The Smiths Grove post office opened in 1829 and closed in 1834. A Cool Spring post office opened in 1836 and was renamed Smiths Grove in 1844. The population in 1990 was 703.
