Uniontown is a norther Union county town on the Ohio River about five miles north of Morganfield. A settlement was established on the site in 1790 and has variously been known as Jackeysburg, Union Star, and finally Uniontown. The Union Star post office opened in 1852 and the town was incorporated in 1868. The population in 1990 was 1,008.
