About Career Services

UK Law offers students real-world advice from a dean of career services who not only holds accounting and law degrees, but who also has extensive legal practice experience. Associate Dean Susan Steele, a UK Law graduate who practiced for seven years with a major Louisville law firm, counsels students on everything from interview apparel to salary negotiations to legal career choices, by appointment and on a walk-in basis. Dean Steele also provides regular programming on topics including resume and cover letter preparation, interviewing skills and job search strategies. Student Affairs Officer Joan Yocum, who works with Dean Steele, has over 25 years of experience in legal career services.
