Academic Calendars and Schedules

2008 Spring Semester

Jan 7 Monday - Add/Drop
- Class work begins
Jan 8 Tuesday - Add/Drop
- Class work begins
- Last day a student may officially drop a course or cancel registration with the University Registrar for a full refund of fees
Jan 15 Tuesday - Last day to add a class for the 2008 Spring Semester
Jan 16 Wednesday

- Last day to officially withdraw from the University or reduce course load and receive an 80 percent refund
Jan 21 Monday

Martin Luther King Birthday - Academic Holiday
Jan 22 Tuesday

- Payment deadline of registration fees and/or dining fees. If total amount is not paid as indicated on the account statement, a late payment fee of 1.25% of the amount past due will be assessed

Jan 30 Wednesday - Last day to change grading option (credit to audit or audit to credit). Wednesday- Last day to drop a course without it appearing on student’s transcript.            
Feb 7 Thursday - Last day to file an application for a May degree
- to apply for Kentucky residency for this semester
March 1 Saturday Last day for submission of application for admission for 2008 Fall Semester
March 7 Friday

- Last day to withdraw from a course, withdraw from the University or reduce course schedule. Students can withdraw or reduce course schedule after this date for “urgent non-academic reasons”

March 10-15 Mon thru Sat. - Spring Vacation- Academic Holiday
March 24 - April 16

Mon thru Wed

 Priority Registration for the 2008 Summer Session and 2008 Fall Semester
April 18 Friday

End of class work

April 19 - 21 Sat thru Mon Law Examination Period
April 22 - May 3 Tue thru Sat Law Final Examination Period
May 2 Friday law Commencement
