Richard C. Ausness, Professor of Law, has taught at the College since 1973. He also taught at the University of Florida from 1968 to 1973. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and a Coif graduate of its College of Law, where he served as Note Editor of the University of Florida Law Review.

In 1973, he received an LL.M. degree from the Yale Law School. Professor Ausness has visited at Indiana University, Washington University and the University of Idaho. He writes extensively on products liability and water law. His publications include books, such as The Model Water Code, and numerous articles in such journals as the University of Illinois Law Review, the Ohio State Law Journal, and the Wisconsin Law Review.
