Carolyn S. Bratt is Professor of Law at the College where she has taught since 1975. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and a Coif graduate of Syracuse University. Prior to joining the law school faculty, she was a law clerk to the Presiding Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division. Professor Bratt is a recipient of the UK Great Teacher Award and the William E. Lyons Award for Outstanding Public Service. She has served as a Trustee on the UK Board of Trustees, Chair of the University of Kentucky Senate Council and as a Fellow with the American Council on Education. Currently, she is a member of the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance. During the 1992-93 academic year, Professor Bratt was on leave as a Fellow with the American Council on Education. Professor Bratt has published and lectured widely on issues of equity and fairness as well as on property-related issues. Her articles have appeared in such journals as the University of Illinois Law Forum, the Albany Law Review, the Kentucky Law Journal and the Journal of Mineral Law and Policy.
