Helane Davis joined the law library faculty in February 2005 as the library’s Associate Director and Head of Public Services. She became the library’s director in July 2006. Prior to joining the law library, she was affiliated with the libraries at Seattle University School of Law and Howard University School of Law. In addition to teaching Advanced Legal Research at Howard University School of Law and Basic Legal Research at University of Maryland University College, Professor Davis has presented on legal research and online legal resources in various settings. She received her J.D. from the University of Iowa in 1985, and her M.L.I.S. from the University of Washington in 2004.
