Kathryn L. Moore is the Everett H. Metcalf, Jr. Professor of Law at the College, where she has taught since 1993. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Cornell Law School, where she was a note editor of the Cornell Law Journal and a member of the Order of the Coif. Professor Moore served as clerk to U.S. District Judge Harold Fong in Honolulu, Hawaii, from 1988 to 1989 and practiced law with the firm of Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan in Washington D.C. from 1990 to 1993.

Her scholarship focuses on Social Security, employee benefits, and state and local taxation, and has been published in such journals as the Washington and Lee Law Review, Missouri Law Review, and University of Pittsburgh Law Review. She is a member of the National Academy of Social Insurance and the American Law Institute.
