Professor Bratt Assumes Role of Executive Associate Dean
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 2, 2007) – W. L. Matthews Professor of Law Carolyn S. Bratt assumed the role of Executive Associate Dean effective July 1, 2007. She will be fulfilling the day-to-day duties of College of Law Dean Allan W. Vestal as he focuses his time on the College’s Centennial Campaign, which seeks to raise support for scholarships, endowed professorships and a new law school building.
Carolyn S. Bratt has taught at the College since 1975. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and a Coif graduate of Syracuse University. Professor Bratt is a recipient of the UK Great Teacher Award and the William E. Lyons Award for Outstanding Public Service. She has served as a Trustee on the UK Board of Trustees, Chair of the University of Kentucky Senate Council and as a Fellow with the American Council on Education.
