"Legal 101" Training Sessions
The Office of Legal Counsel offers "Legal 101" training sessions to selected groups within the UK community. These sessions are designed to introduce the attendees to a general overview of the legal services provided by the Office of Legal Counsel. The training is aimed at making the University community more familiar with the attorneys, paralegals, and staff in the legal office so that faculty, staff, students, and administrators will take advantage of the resources available there. There will be presentations by various attorneys and staff from the Office of Legal Counsel, with opportunities to ask questions and arrange follow up visits to individual departments for training and information tailored to the needs of those departments.
Topics covered at the sessions include: General Overview of Contracts, Intellectual Property, Employment, Risk Management, Ethics, Privacy Issues, and more. The first sessions are being scheduled through UK Human Resources, Office of Training and Development. To find out more, to schedule a session for your unit, or to register for a current session, please go to Legal 101 Training, or you may also contact Terri Crocker at 257-5485.
