How to Access Beyond the Shelf Books
Titles can be accessed by searching the UK Libraries Catalog (INFOKAT) or the Kentuckiana Digital Library (KYVL) website. Instructions for using both tools are provided below.

Lists of all titles:
- Kentuckiana Digital Library: Click on this "search" link to see a list of all titles using the Kentuckiana Digital Library (KYVL) site. The list is initially alphabetical by author, but can also be sorted by title or date using the sort drop box. To search the database yourself, choose "E-Text & Oral History Collection" from the main page and follow the search instructions.
- InfoKat: Click on this “search” link to view the list in the UK Libraries catalog (INFOKAT). Select a title from the list to view the cataloging record. Click the URL to go to the title page of the book. If you want to conduct the search on your own enter "beyond the shelf" (including the quotes) as a Keyword Anywhere search.
Search by keyword or subject:
There are many options for searching by subject or keyword in the Kentuckiana Digital Library and UK Libraries INFOKAT. All of these search options offer “help.”

Specific title:
UK Libraries INFOKAT and the Kentucky Virtual Library offer many options for searching specific titles. Each search interface offers help.
When you search UK Libraries INFOKAT, you will locate the original “hard copy” of the title, a microfilm version of the title as well as the digital version created for Beyond the Shelf.
