On the occasion of a seminar in graphic design with David Pankow, participants have typeset, in Koch's Jessenschrift [Peter-Jessen-Schrift] and Hammer's Samson Uncial, printed and sewn this keepsake by hand. The silhouette of Koch is from his "Die Schriftgiesser ei im Schattenbild", that of Hammer has been adapted by Dave Elbon. Paul Holbrook has designed and Suann Childers set most of the type.
This publication marks the fortieth anniversary of the founding of the King Library Press by Carolyn Reading Hammer in 1956.
