JONATHAN GREENE

— poet and publisher — now marks the fortieth year of his Gnomon imprint. Both his own personal productivity as well as his empowerment of other significant writers, and of important photographers, through beautifully designed and consequential publications, makes this a proper moment to celebrate his unique position in the field of letters and the book arts.

Publisher of such figures as Wendell Berry, Linda Butler, Wendy Ewald, Harlan Hubbard, Ed McClanahan, Michael McFee, Guy Mendes, Jim Wayne Miller, Ralph Eugene Meatyard, Robert Morgan, Gurney Norman, Martha Bennett Stiles, James Still, Richard Taylor, Jonathan Williams, and numerous others, Jonathan Greene has won the regard of all who appreciate contemporary literature and recognize his discerning taste in its graphic presentation.
