EBSCO Business Source Premier (selected titles 1922-current; updated daily)
Provides full-text for nearly 8,800 business journals and other sources, including full-text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed business publications, 1,200 trade journals/general business magazines, over 3,000 full-text industry reports and over 500 market research reports. In addition, 10,000 company profiles (Datamonitor) are available. Topical coverage includes management, economics, finance, accounting, and international business. Includes over 250 accounting journals.

JSTOR: Searchable back-file collection of full-text journals. Browse Business collection to locate individual publications. Currently JSTOR includes ca. 90 titles. The collection brings together core titles in economics and finance, including many publications from the leading scholarly societies, with a range of important research journals in accounting, labor relations, marketing, management, operations research, and risk assessment.

ACCESS WORLD NEWS (News Bank)

In addition to providing searchable, full-text access to almost 600 U.S. newspapers and other sources, AWN also covers almost 700 foreign titles. The sources are English-language newspapers, including the London Times, China Daily, Times of India and The Nation from Kenya. (Spanish-language editions of the newspapers are also included, such as the Miami Herald's El Nuevo Herald.) Complete title list (by state and country).

MERGENT ONLINE
Data on NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ exchange and international companies. Click on "Enter Mergent Online" (one user at a time). Accessible via campus computers. Also available off-campus for UK faculty, students and staff.
Private Company Resources
Step 1. Try to locate the company’s web site. Many private companies share some information about their business via the Internet, mostly for marketing, sales or PR purposes.
Step 2. Private companies are often included in state or local directories, such as those listed in this guide.
Step 3. Use electronic business journal databases, especially those that include either local newspapers or trade publications, such as those listed in this guide.
