About the Library's Collections

Reference & In-House Services

There are many important reference works in the Little Library collections, including biographical dictionaries, dictionaries of terminology, and specialized encyclopedias. The major periodical indexes for the fine arts are also located here. Several indexes, dictionaries and encyclopedias are available in electronic form. Although the reference works do not circulate, there are photocopiers, including a color copier, for your convenience. There are also microform reader / printers.

Reference service is provided by the staff in the Little Library. This includes assistance in the use of the online catalog, indexes, bibliographies, and other reference materials. Complex reference searches, database searching, and library instruction sessions or other programs are provided for groups or individuals.
