A GREAT LIBRARY
FOR A GREAT
UNIVERSITY

Vartan Gregorian, President of the Carnegie Corporation, has said that "no university in the world has ever risen to greatness without having a great library, and no university is greater than its library."

Private support has made a real difference at UK's Libraries. The evidence is our magnificent William T. Young Library, opened in 1998, and our outstanding Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library and Learning Center, opened in 2000. Our materials endowment, created by private gifts and matched by the State's endowment-match program, now totals over $65 million and is the largest of any public university.

The Libraries has a strong foundation and is central to UK's goal to be a nationally competitive research university. The Libraries must keep pace with ever-changing technology and provide state-of-the-art information resources and services to students, faculty and researchers. Your gift will make a difference and is a solid investment in the Libraries' and UK's future.
