Goal One: To provide Kentucky citizens with information about, and assistance with, federal government information published in an electronic fomat (computer disk and CD-ROM) or on the Internet.
DESIRED OUTCOMES:
1. Off-site Federal Depository Library users can receive federal government information and select files via fax and E-mail. Suggested Assessment Measures
2. Document users can electronically link to other Federal Depository Libraries' web sites via their local depository's webpage. Suggested Assessment Measures
Goal Two: To give Kentucky citizens unencumbered access to electronic federal government information.
DESIRED OUTCOMES:
1. Depository library users can access Internet resources from the federal government on unfiltered connections and at minimal costs for printing and/or file download. Suggested Assessment Measures
2. Federal Depository Library users can locate and access electronic government information within the depository's primary service area. Suggested Assessment Measures
3. Document users can quickly locate current and archived GPO "Electronic Government Information Products" list(s) via the GPO Access web site, and view specific titles. Suggested Assessment Measures
Goal Three: To make library users more self-sufficient when using electronic government information in their research.
DESIRED OUTCOMES:
1. Document users can rely on updated "Electronic Pathfinders," produced by Kentucky librarians, to access the latest government information sources linked to the Kentucky Virtual Library. Suggested Assessment Measures
2. Depository users can request staff-mediated searches of restricted electronic government information. Suggested Assessment Measures
Goal Four: To develop training materials for new depository staff with emphasis on the proficient use of federal government electronic resources, i.e., diskettes, CDs, DVDs and the Web.
DESIRED OUTCOMES:
1. Depository staff will feel competent in assisting document patrons in using electronic resources.
