STUDENT ORGANIZATION REGISTRATION

Attention all organizations! You MUST register with SOC every year to be recognized as a student organization on campus. SOC keeps on file all registrations and constitutions and lets interested students know about your organization. The deadline to register for 2004-2005 is September 10, 2005. All organizations must submit a copy of their constitution - even if no changes have been made - to complete the registration process.

NEWS BUREAU RELEASES

Students can complete a news release form and the MLKCC will forward this information to the UK News Bureau for release in hometown newspapers.

CONSTITUTION REVISION

Does your organization's constitution need a face-lift? Is the information outdated or inaccurate? The MLKCC can help you spruce up this document for your organization. To have the MLKCC review your constitution, drop it by 133 Student Center or e-mail us at mlkcc@uky.edu STUDENT ORGANIZATION INTEREST CARDS During summer orientation, new students can complete an interest card which will be forwarded to the organization(s) of their choice. This is a great way for all students to receive more information about clubs and organizations. If you are interested in an organization you have read about, send us an e-mail. We will put an interest card in the organization's box. They will follow up with you directly.

STUDENT LEADERS CONSULTATION

The MLKCC can help you handle your organization effectively. We consult with leaders facing challenges or problems. We help leaders develop and present successful programs, organize group retreats, and develop team-building sessions.

LEADERSHIP PRESENTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS

Leadership workshops and presentations are available upon request for student leaders and organizations who are interested in a program designed specifically for the needs of their group. Workshops cover a wide variety of topics that can be presented at any time in any location.

ETIQUETTE DINNERS

The MLKCC can help you and your organization prepare for the next time you find yourself at a meal time interview or a formal dinner party setting. You will learn specifics from which utensil to use at each course to how to let your server know when you have finished your meal. If you are interested in having the MLKCC do an Etiquette Dinner for your organization, e-mail us or stop by 133 Student Center.

RESERVE THE MLKCC
