- HealthWeb: Consumer Health

- Mayo Health OasisComprehensive resource provided by the Mayo Clinic.
- MedWeb: Consumer Health
A current listing of consumer health sites put together by Emory University.
- National Health Information Center
A health information referral service. Includes the Health Information Resource Database that contains 1,100 organizations and government offices that provide health information upon request. Entries include contact information, short abstracts, and information about publications and services the organizations provide.
- NetWellness
An electronic consumer health library. NetWellness' purposes are to improve the quality of health care, reduce its costs, facilitate healthy life styles, and promote wellness.
- NOAH
New York Online Access to Health (NOAH) is a guide to the latest health information and resources from volunteer and local
governmental agencies, and other health sites on the Internet.

- Health Services Technology Assessment Text (HSTAT)

- Iowa Health Book

- Combined Health Information Database (CHID)
CHID is produced by health-related agencies of the Federal Government. This database provides titles, abstracts, and availability information for health information and health education resources.
- Health Reference Center (for University of Kentucky users only)
Full text database containing health information directed towards patients/consumers. Includes pamphlets, journal articles, and books.
- PubMed
A version of the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE database, available to anyone at no charge. Easy to use; includes links to the full text of some articles (may require a subscription to the journal).
- Internet Grateful Med (IGM)
Another version of the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE database, available to anyone at no charge. Also includes access to additional databases of note such as DIRLINE, a directory of health organizations.

- Nutrition and Your Health: Dietary Guidelines for Americans
Provides easily understood, science-based information on how Americans can choose diets that promote good health. These new guidelines (published 1/96) are a joint effort of the US Dept. of Agriculture and the Dept. of Health and Human Services.

- Breast Cancer Answers
Provides individualized responses to questions about all aspects of Breast Cancer. The service is funded by the National Cancer Institute under a grant to the University of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center.
