Class Records & Papers
All examinations, quizzes, papers, etc. not returned to students should be kept by the instructor of record in the course for at least one year after a semester's end. Student appeals of final grades must be filed within 180 days after the semester's end, but waivers of this time limit may be granted. Senate Rules require that you keep all course documentation for at least one year. In cases where a faculty member leaves the University, the appropriate Department Chair must retain records, syllabus, and class rolls in the department office. For further information regarding retention of records, contact Nancy DeMarcus, 257-5257 (nancyd@uky.edu).
