FOR 205 Lab: An Introduction to Rocks

PURPOSE. The purpose of this lab is to provide an introduction to the origin, characteristics and appearance of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks.

METHOD. Refer to the internet sites listed below to familiarize yourself with the origin, classification and appearance of igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. Spend as much time as possible exploring these sites, but at a minimum study the following topics:
